What is a CP+R programme?

It is a private, bespoke and tailored lifestyle and health programme. We will review your clinical background, your lifestyle, your emotional state, your eating habits, your activity and fitness levels, and your personal life goals in order to design your holistic programme.

How long is a CP+R programme?

A programme is 12 weeks, however, our aim is to help you for as long as possible and there is no limit to the number of programmes you can undertake or the successes you can achieve. We deliver the programmes in 12 week instalments because we will clinically reassess you and review your outcomes after that time period and then continue your journey to success with adaptations as necessary. We believe that your health and environment will always change throughout your life, therefore we will adjust your training and support you accordingly.

What makes you different?

At CP+R we offer a solution and give you control. We will facilitate and inspire you to transform your health. This means you will gain intellectual property so you can make informed decisions. We are 100% outcome driven and clinically minded and it is for this reason that our medical referral sources, the world’s leading health professionals, stake their reputation on us and keep referring to us. They trust us.

How often do I need to come to CP+R?

Our athletes commit to seeing us at least twice a week but our most successful athletes see us three or four times a week. We also prescribe you activities to do outside your sessions to ensure you are empowered to be improving your health at all times.

Our model is based on balancing the responsibilities of everyday life with prioritisation of your health and life goals. Many people at CP+R initially perceive they don’t have enough time to invest in doing a programme like ours but once they commence, it is the first thing that goes into their diaries at the start of each week. First you make your habits, then your habits make you. It is our job to make it fun and to inspire you.

What can I expect to achieve?

That is down to your commitment and the goals you agree with your Clinical Exercise Specialist (CES). You will first go through a compressive assessment process which includes a clinical and lifestyle assessment from one of our experienced clinical nurses. You will then progress to a Biostat analysis, functional and cardiovascular assessment led by your CES. Thereafter, you will enroll into the main body of the programme. There should be no surprises when you get to the end of your 12-week cycle as the CES will present your progress throughout your programme to demonstrate what areas are going well and what areas need more commitment.

What is a CES and who will I be working with?

A CES is a top sports or human scientist with a passion for helping people, further equipped with CP+R programme training. We describe our CES team as ‘science geeks but real people at heart’ and this is the spirit of CP+R. All our CES’ are meticulous, knowledgeable and love science. They are also engaging, friendly and take great pleasure in helping others.

We offer a team-to-one approach. So as well as your CES, you will also be looked after by a team of nurses, a customer service officer, a registered physio and many more people.

Do you offer nutrition guidance?

Yes. We don’t believe in quick fixes or diets. You will see no fashionable nutrition fads or quirky new methods. All guidance is based on proven science and we seek sustainable, incremental changes. We work with nutrition experts and each nutrition plan will be tailored to you and your needs. You cannot exercise your way out of bad nutrition, so this is extremely important to us.

Do I need to be referred by a doctor?

You don’t need your doctor to recommend you to CP+R. We work with anyone who aspires to improve the quality and duration of their life and you may be interested to know that our existing athletes are our best referrers.

What are your opening hours?

The clinics open at 0700 and the last sessions finish at 2030.  It is important to create consistency and make CP+R habitual within your lifestyle so you will be allocated fixed training times at the outset of your programme. Your customer service officer will discuss your lifestyle with you and find a comfortable training routine.

What do I wear?

Please wear exercise kit you feel comfortable in and a well-structured pair of trainers.

Will I lose my sessions if I am on holiday or if I have a business trip?

No, but if you do need to re-arrange a session, we have 48 hour cancellation policy.

In order to achieve measurable outcomes, you do need to complete at least 24 sessions within 12 weeks. Therefore, if you need to move sessions, we will look at adding sessions in other weeks to ensure you meet the minimum twice weekly average attendance across the programme.

What happens if I am unwell, stressed, tired or just don't feel like training?

We still encourage you to turn up. We carry out a comprehensive clinical screening process at the outset of every session and will always adapt our plan to ensure your safety and wellbeing. We 100% guarantee you will always leave feeling more energised and be able to do more that day.

Here’s a few examples:

  • If you are going through chemotherapy and feeling low or just exhausted, you can take a taxi to us and we may undertake a light stretching session or gentle cardio to reduce toxin levels in your lymphatic system and improve your blood flow and oxygen levels
  • If you are tired and stressed from work we will focus on decreasing your blood pressure and adrenaline response, as well as increasing your body’s oxygen levels to give you more energy and a clear head
  • If we feel you aren’t able to train, we’ll let you know right away and address the issue with you, or involve your doctor as appropriate

If you are in any doubt, call your CES before the session and they will advise you.

When can I start?
